My wife and I were exhausted yet refreshed after 4 weeks of travel for most of May this year. We made stops in Guinea West Africa, Paris France and Barcelona Spain. Many people have asked me to see not just how I photographed this trip, but what life in Guinea look like. Below is a link of about 150 images that simply capture a sense of our time away. I am saving another 100 photos from just Guinea that are very special for a book I want to publish. Rama and I want to use this book somehow to give back and offer our support to a part of the world going through some big changes, some of these shots already made it onto my Instagram or Facebook pages. More info to come as things develop. For now, feel free to enjoy a preview of where It all took place.
Just wanted to share a look at how I retouch a shot, no practice before hand, no tutorials just me-music-photoshop. I make mistakes, I try different approaches and I use few tools really. Clone/Heal/Liquify. A lot of flipping layers and zooming to get a feeling I want.
This was an Actress/Model retouch for an “Actor” shot used more as a business representation. Still needed work none the less.
Light beauty retouching, stray hairs, makeup fix etc.
My first video of this type so I know I need a lot of work and I want to learn a lot more about doing this but hope you enjoy.
Was hoping to have more blog updates this late into January, and it’s not for the lack of work! We decided to submit our latest images to a fashion magazine so we could not share online for exclusivity reasons.
I had hopes of streaming videos and sharing screens but it will have to wait a few more weeks until we hear back if the images are needed for publication.
I was pleased with the results no matter what, we were able to achieve a contrasty, upper class urban clothing style with a lot of attitude. Can’t wait to share
